it's been four years !

14.07.2010 

when i first arrived in Malaysia 

I was only seventeen back in that time. Alone and trying to fit myself into the new environment. Fun yet challenging.

Reminds me to those days when I stayed inside the remote jungle (is actually the campus' residence which newly open which has no wi-fi, no food, & no drink around). We used to walk at least 1-2 km to get food everyday.

Reminds me to those time when I try to remember each name (especially the 3 words name) and try to speak English fluently so that they understand (at least my skill is much better now :P).

Reminds me to those time when my friends and I used to bring chili everywhere we went to eat because Malaysian food used to be tasteless for us.

Well~ 4 years !

Feels like time past really fast but when I try to think everything backwards, the past 4 years are the best moment of my life.

I'm glad I can manage to go through everything until today. Honestly, there was one moment where I believe my journey in Malaysia will end after two years exactly in 2012. But God's power is infinite. He makes things impossible becomes possible. And here I am...

The july first

can't believe it has to come to the end. the first week of this month is the remark for the end of my university life. this the last chance i attend the class T___T. definitely no assignment, no rushing for class, and no deadlines. im gonna enter the real working life asap. cant believe the clock ticking this fast. cant imagine to see myself start working and living independently. this exactly 4 years ago when i first arrived in malaysia on july 14.

i can tell that this paper is the most tough paper i ever done in my life which consist of 15,000 words. this is something i will not want to do twice in my life. when i look back, i realize that my life is so miserable during this time. all i did everyday including both weekdays and weekend is to sit down, stare at the laptop screen and lay my hand down on the keyboard and type. type and read journal and type and read journal. 

in Malaysia, you still need to attend classes, do your assignments, have presentation and etc while working on your dissertation. and the best part, i have club events that i have to handle as well. i can give up on the club's project if i want to but i choose not to because, i know this is the last opportunity i have.

tips:

1. ask senior that you trust

2. ask around or you will get lost

3. get away from all kind of gadget with internet line

thankfully, during those time, i am not alone. i have bunch of friends from OL (Orientation Leaders) that work as hard as i do. they were not doing their dissertation but they were doing their tons of assignments. this routine happens everyday :)

this post is the remark of my freedom ! and now, i can finally continue writing my blog happily :)

if anyone ask me, "who i want to thank the most besides my family for the past one year?"
i would say is OLs.

honestly, they are the best thing i had in my university life. they are the best treasure to keep forever. is not a normal friendship that we had but is way beyond that. we are family. it might sounds fake, but this is the truth.

i just came back from my 2 months holiday. when i met them, i can feel their sincere feeling saying "you're back!". i feel so much loved...

they always say, they are just an ordinary students but they are totally not the ordinary one. most of them are scholarship students that need to work as the scholarship requirement. but this group of people not the nerds. they know what they are doing and they are good at expressing it. normally when i work with people, i am the one who talk most of the time. but here, i have to shut my mouth for the entire time coz their ideas are beyond my thinking. they are the influential people in the community.

they are crazy bunch of people. everytime i'm with them, i automatically always laugh like no one on earth besides us. i really laugh out of control till i forget the public.

they are optimistic bunch of people. support each other in need, compliment each other when achieving something, and advice each other to be someone better. they are always be the one who love to see my dance most of the time (i think, its everytime).

they are hard working bunch of people. its not only happen once or twice that we do work in study room till 2/3 am in the morning. besides all the work that we have, the feeling is just different when you are surrounded with people that really passionate in what they are doing and want to achieve. giving you a positive energy.

they are the most caring people. they able to spot me when im sad. they have seen the loudest cry i did for couple times that i never show to other people. idk why but each emotional moments we had, always make me cry so loud.

they remind me of God presence. since then, i never feel alone. all the life problem i face is a step to make me stronger and be a better person. and God has sent them to support me and help me when i fall.

they are my hunting friends. hunting for foods, hunting for beautiful places, and hunting for happiness. we are not rich. i remembered we support each other to save enough money to go travelling and it is worthed. u work hard for it and in return, you get the best moments. is the matter of time they willing to spend on each other.

when im writing this blog, i get into the highest emotional state of mine. and now, i am almost graduate. and the only thing i scared the most when i have to leave this university life is to say goodbye to them. i honestly scared of loosing them. but i know i will not loose them :) we will hold this relationship tight

be realistic. whatever discussion it is, it wont give back the situation. things had happenned. how u wish porridge can turn to rice? there is no way. love when you're ready not when you're lonely. 

i am tired and hey! is 2014 and im moving on. i believe there are so many beautiful reason to be happy. and making this decision i believe is the best decision i ever take to makes me happy.  thank for you, the difficult people i've met whom shown me exactly who i dont want to be.

kindergarten reunion

date: 01.February.2014

- round 1 -

i just had my TK Bahagia Reunion [TK (short form of: taman kanak-kanak, meaning: kindergarten) & Bahagia (meaning: happy)]. so basically is a kindergarten reunion where i was 5 years old. isn't it cute? we planned this meeting since 2013. we decided the right date to meet up and we did it ! we had our lunch meet at Pancious, Mall Kelapa Gading :)

you might wonder how it started. simple! 4 years ago, i was about to moved out from my old house then my mom found this photo, so i scan it, i upload it on facebook, and tagged few friends that i remembered. it turned up WOW ! more and more friends were tagged inside the photo and we just start to recall each other faces.

we were so young, what to expect? we don't remember a lot.except one-two person who has really good memory who can even remember what bag we brought during that time #respect

before i met everyone, i foresee that this reunion will end by the evening because of the awkward atmosphere. then i assume that people will start give reasons so they can go home faster. but i was wrong. at the beginning, i don't really remember everyone but as the conversation goes on, i start to remember who are they. we do a re-introduction because not all of us remember each other (count me in haha). the small window in my mind starts to open one by one. "OH so it was you!". "ah ya ya ya i remember that now".

is really a day full of a non-stop-laughing and non-stop-talking which will cause my throat to have muscles near in the future xP. let me revealed one of the story from that day that i will not and can not forget.

A: do you know X? do anyone invites X to come?
B: i know X, he can't come
C: i remember something. during that time, i was playing power ranger with my friend and we lack of one color. so i asked X, "hey do you want to be one of the power ranger? we need one more person". and u know what X answered? X said "ah is okay, i already became sailormoon just now"
Me: :"""D

whatever i assumed before is wrong. it ain't awkward at all. it is really funny. everyone shares their memories when we were young. it made me slowly remember who are they.

D: i remember you knocked your head on the swing and your head bleed
E: you are the one who taught to stand on it and i fell
Me: oh so you are the one who bleed and make the whole school panic

F: before we left the school, they install a new slide. do you remember? it is very tall.
G: yea, i played it once and i warned Y that it is very tall. when she reach the top, she cried and scared to slide down

the past, current, and future. we brought everything to the surface. and now, i can see the future success man and woman coming up from this group :)

after lunch, we went for karaoke. for some reason, we went for karaoke to see our ex-boyband friend singing. and for some reason, they want to see me dancing. my eyes just go O___0. and yea we did, i think everyone just want to sing. wanna tell their life story thru the songs that they going to pick hahaha~

 

 

we took these two photos below on a purpose. this spot has been the most famous spot for taking pictures during the middle and high school. there is no front camera at that time. the pictures that we used to take is most likely like this. very similar haha. we are so tacky #YOLO

  

- round 3 -

we picked Pantai Indah Kapuk for our last destination. famous hangout place in Jakarta for genY during weekend (especially saturday night). if you wish to go there on weekend, during the night, and you get a parking spot very fast, you are very lucky :) the parallel parking there reach up to 3 lines. thankfully the road is wide enough.

so we spent our night at Hangover - The House of Soju. that night, we are so lucky ! because:
1. no traffic jam where it suppose to have a heavy traffic because it was on the second day of CNY and it was saturday night
2. get the seat without reserved. only need to wait for a while. even my friend who came right after me cant get a spot bcoz is all reserved
3. we got into the car right before the rain started

let's wrap up everything !

it was an awesome 12 to 12 (noon to midnight) reunion. they should know that they made my day ! 
one of the best day i have and this day made a really good beginning for month of february. hopefully this is not the end but the beginning for everything. i never heard anyone having a kindergarten reunion like what we did. surely we will plan for the next reunion and invite more people to come (i hope they can make it).

should keep this up and not forgetting each other ;)

pre-CNY

one day before chinese new year ! to be honest, when the day came, i dont realize that the next day is cny because i feel that it is not so hype this year. but i din tell that is not a good day because actually this is one of the best pre-cny ever.

bro time & mall-to-mall shopping !

this year is shooo specyal (act cute) because my bro from medan came to jakarta for celebrating new year together. honestly, is the only possible time for all of us to meet here. my family is a super busy-body people. well basically is because each of us are separated geographically (medan-jakarta-KL) from each other. life-oh-life.

so we started by visiting Mall Kelapa Gading (is been the 3rd time i came in this week, seriously). i tell you, this shopping mall has been part of my life since in secondary school. from making new friends (i played arcade lot last time till i went for competition :P), movie with family, shopping, study for exam, spent emo time, & now is been a place for me to accidentally meet old friends ! isn't it awesome? haha. ok back to topic, i have sense that my bros are going to shops around and is true. the old habit has return where i normally wait outside the fitting room, waited them in-out that cubical room, and give a comment "yes, is nice" "no, too tight" :D i miss those time and enjoying it though.

we ate what we loved for lunch. Hoka Hoka Bento ! is a japanese-indonesia restaurant who has the best taste. is been my favorite since i was young ;)

is not the end yet. we moved to another mall nearby (by distance is near but because of traffic-jam is become far huhu) which is Mall Of Indonesia (MOI) coz my bro want to buy pants. mom gonna scold us if she found this out. superb mall to mall hoping.

korean dinner

i love pre-cny dinner, coz normally i am the one who decide where to eat. after a year din come back to jakarta, i realize that my area is now dominated by korean people. well, i am happy with that *fully support*. we dine at Bornga Original Korean Taste. well if you love korean food, you have to come here and taste the yummy meat. recommended :) when i entered the restaurant alone and was looking for my bro, the korean manager came after me and start speaking korean. i feel so dot dot dot. i stoned there cause all i can hear is just annyonghaseyo, yet i'm happy haha *winning face*

oh ya, i wanna share this. my bros are actually twin and we have 12 years gap. we are all the rooster in chinese calender (extra unnecessary information xP). so this time, i had a dinner with my mom, my twin bros and my 2nd bro's wife :)

this part gonna have long by pictures of food. recently, i love to take picts of food and post it on my instagram instead of my face. reason is simple. is all because i am the one who take it with my own angle and unlike human where they won't move around and one shot is enough (i hope it does make sense haha)

 

 

last minute reunion

this little reunion here is been set up few hours before the event. we indirectly met each other in shopping mall. nadia and i haven't meet each other since 2007. i used to play all day long after school time when i was young. so much childhood memories coz we knew each other for long time. we've been in same class for 6 years continuously from 9yo. glad to meet her and gio right before they going back to singapore. maintaining friendship is important ;)

everytime i met old friends, is nice to discuss the most happening things happened in the past. it was the fun part and unforgettable moment that we can keep till we get old. all the hidden story in the past just revealed freely.
